A
combination washer dryer is an ideal solution for someone who wants to do their laundry at home
but doesn’t really have room for a separate washer and dryer.
There are
three types of combination washer dryers - stackable machines, laundry centers, and all-in-one
units, which we’ll talk about here.
Washer
dryer combinations are popular especially in Europe and other places where houses are typically
small.
They take
up a minimum of space and some can even be stored when they’re not being used.

These don’t need to be
vented like a traditional dryer (hence, the term ‘ventless’), because they use a steam drying system, and they
run on standard household current.
While a washer dryer
combination can add convenience to your laundry day, they do have their drawbacks. Most can hold half the amount
of clothing that a normal washer would be able to hold, and many new models don’t have as many settings as a
stand-alone washer or dryer.
Their limited capacity can
make laundry take a lot longer, but if you live alone or don’t have many people to do laundry for, a combination
washer/dryer may be ideal.
The all-in-one
washer dryer combo is a popular item in Europe where living quarters are quite small. These
washer dryer combinations take up very little space and can be stored away when not in use. The steam dryer
eliminates the need to vent the machine and they can usually be run on a regular household current.
While these combo washer
dryer options are reasonably priced, they have a limited clothes capacity that can make doing laundry a much
longer than normal task. They also seem to lack the variety of settings you would find on regular washers and
dryers.
A washer dryer combo can be
installed almost anywhere, not just in the laundry room. You can put one in your kitchen, living room, or even a
closet. These can be installed almost anywhere in the home, mostly because of their lack of an external vent. As
long as there’s a water line, a drain, and an electrical outlet, you’re ready to go!
To wash a load of clothes
and then dry them, a washer dryer combination can do it in a little over three hours. That may
seem like a little longer than with a conventional washer and dryer, but the money you save on detergent and
bleach, not to mention your utility bills, may make it worthwhile.
Combo washer dryers use
much less water and electricity than a standard
washing machine (about half as much in most cases). That makes it an ideal way to save on your
utility bills, and help the environment at the same time.
The combination washer
dryer saves space, money, energy, and water. They’re a way to be kind to nature and your wallet at the same
time-what could be better than that?
